From 2011, Barcelona Provincial Council offers city councils with more than 10,000 inhabitants in the Local Health Indicators Report. The report is updated every year and collects a hundred local indicators that provide information about the health status of the municipal and show the trend over time. This information is useful for identifying health problems and inequalities in the locality and facilitating decision-making in municipal policies to improve the health of the population.
In 2022, 74 municipalities of more than 10,000 inhabitants received the Local Health Indicators Report 2022.
From 2019, an aggregated report is published with data from municipalities that are older than 10,000 inhabitants of the demarcation. This session will present the fourth Local Health Indicators Report for all municipalities of more than 10,000 inhabitants of the province of Barcelona, which collects the available data until 2021.
The aim of the session is to publicise the state of health of the demarcation and to provide reference data to the municipalities receiving this resource so that they can compare municipal data with those of the whole territory.
