Urban pests: arthropod and rodent control
As a minimum service provided by local councils, Article 52.g of Law 18/2009, of 22 October , provides for management of the health risks attributable to domestic animals, pets, urban wild animals and pests.
Urban pest control is aimed at keeping the roads and municipal buildings used by the public free of arthropods and rodents to prevent the transmission of diseases called zoonoses and guarantee the hygiene of public places and buildings.
