Els Estudis d'Informàtica, Multimèdia i Telecomunicació de la UOC convoquen aquest premi per a la promoció de l'equitat de gènere en les TIC, en l'àmbit geogràfic d'Espanya, Portugal i Iberoamèrica.

Aquesta universitat porta a terme diverses accions per tal d’apropar les TIC a la societat en general i a l’educació en particular i un dels seus objectius és arribar a l’equitat de gènere en el sector TIC. Per fer-ho convoca aquests premis amb els que pretén premiar iniciatives que tinguin la finalitat de generar activitats i mostrar bones pràctiques per ajudar a construir l’equilibri de gènere en els estudis i en les professions TIC.
