Format:
Guide
Target population:
Local administrations, citizens' associations and the general public
Objetive:

The guide makes possible to make a diagnosis from the health of the people in a neighborhood or residential area to formulate a Health Action Plan, which has a double objective: to prevent health with less polluted urban environments and to promote a more active lifestyle of people

Methodology:

This objective is achieved thanks to the proposal of three complementary lines of analysis/actions:

  1. cities for walking,
  2. neighborhoods greening and
  3. promoting spaces for intergenerational social relations.

In each of these lines, the guide proposes a series of questions (74 in total) to help to know the weaknesses and prioritize the most urgent actions

Opportunities and limitations:

The great strength of the Guide is its simple, and direct proposal that can be carried out by a multitude of agents, entities, neighbors, local administration technicians or experts.

The limitation is found in the need for a management-financial body that translates these ideas into plans for the renovation of public space from the perspective of people's health
