El curs té com a objectius conèixer les bases conceptuals, els coneixements i les habilitats per a la detecció en casos de maltractament; conèixer els factors que poden ser la causa dels maltractaments cap a les persones grans; i determinar el rol del professional dels serveis socials.

Es dirigeix a professionals dels serveis socials bàsics, professionals dels serveis de salut i altres professionals o agents vinculats a serveis, programes o projectes adreçats a les persones grans.
