Targeta postal

La targeta postal va sorgir a Europa durant la segona meitat del segle XIX com una forma de comunicació de missatges curts i tramesa ràpida. Ràpidament va incorporar il·lustracions, sovint amb una fotografia. La millora dels sistemes de reproducció fotomecànica va afavorir la seva popularitat i va esdevenir objecte de col·leccionisme i intercanvi. A l’Arxiu General conservem nombroses postals procedents de col·leccions pròpies i fons personal, tant fotogràfiques com impreses.
