Fotografia sobre vidre

El vidre ha estat un dels suports més utilitzats en fotografia d’ençà la dècada de 1850 fins als anys 30 del segle XX, quan va ser definitivament substituït per la pel·lícula plàstica. Per això als arxius és força habitual trobar negatius i diapositives sobre vidre. Per capturar la imatge els fotògrafs havien de desplaçar-se amb les plaques de vidre a coll, un equipament certament molt pesat i delicat.
